An evening of music and dance performances to raise funds and restore livelihood of Haiyan Disaster (Nov, 2013)Survivors in the Philippines
Web of Compassion is doing the ground work in Legaspi City, Albay Province, Philippines, where the area with private, government and NGO's are helping individuals and families affected by disasters. Since Albay province itself had been so devastated by previous typhoons, to name a few, Reming and Milenio in 2006, a group of concerned individuals led by Romeo "Nong" Dawal, a good friend of mine, is leading a a project of GREEN ENCLAVE PILOT COMMUNITIES thinking about sustainability of MAN AND HIS ENVIRONMENT.
This is the project that Web of Compassion will be supporting to benefit not just the recent survivors of Haiyan but also the on-going risk of Reming-Milenio and other storms of the past. They remain on the DANGER zone areas because they have no where to go to.
